All the teams taking on the Rickshaw Run have to try to raise a minimum of £1000 per team. Any funds over and above this can be donated to any registered charity they like. We make sure that the line between giving money to charity and having a ridiculous adventure is never blurred. All the funds raised for the charities goes directly to their banks, the cost of running the adventure is completely seperate. We carefully select charities that work in the regions our adventure thunders through. By having a small number it means that each charity gets a meaningful sum of cash to benefit their projects. If you have any questions about charities or fundraising drop us a line. One edition of the Rickshaw Run - the summer 2008 adventure - has raised enough money for Frank Water Projects to provide clean, safe drinking water to more than 40,000 people in India. The Adventurists' ethos of designing hardcore adventures that raise huge sums of money for the communities they pass through is proving itself a huge success, long may it continue.
